Round 4

Round Starts: Monday, May 9th @ 12:01AM PST
Round Ends: Sunday, May 15th @ 11:59PM PST
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the fourth round of the Bleed Out Tournament!
*Swings ban-hammer wildly*

Some quick things for ease of access for both the teams and the spectators/admins:

Rules

Pairings

Team Sign-Ups

Announcement Page

Doodle (Scheduling Tool)

Please be sure to read the rules along with your team.  If something is clearly defined in the rules, no admin is required to answer you.  Time and time again, admins are hounded for answers that players could know by easily opening up the rules.

The link labeled 'Doodle' is a time scheduling website.  Please use it for all of your matches.  You just have each team member make a list of times they can play and then find when both teams have 4 players and that will be your time to play.  It really does help, ask any team that's used it.  Here is also a Pastebin of all the teams and players for easy searching.

This thread is reserved for match times and scores.  Please be sure to take a screenshot at the end of the match(es) and post it here with the team names.

READ ME:  No more teams double FF'd this week! \o/  Thank you everyone for your persistance with being there for your games.

READ ME: This week will be a harsh reminder for some of the teams.  Let me repeat this again: Post your match times, complete with a time/date, and then after the match has concluded, post your screenshots of the scores.  There were two instances of both teams receiving Double Forfeits for their matches because of neither team posting their final scores.  It's not hard guys, the rules are posted with each week and were released a month before the tournament went live.  Please read them.  Sit down, grab a Mountain Dew and a bag of Doritos (Nacho Cheese), and read them with the rest of your team.

READ ME: Final note, the player in question that I'm sure all of you have heard of by now (not going to post his name to avoid putting him on blast), but he was found to not be hacking.  The admins reviewed the demos and they were much more smooth than we saw on the stream/ingame, assumingly because of the tickrate/server issues earlier on in the week.

Goodluck to all teams!

Hi to everyone! I'm making schedule for BOT and I've met some difficulties with understanding the ET time. Originally EST has UTC Offset: UTC-5 and EDT has UTC Offset: UTC-4. But I saw this "1 Match Wednesday 8pm EST, 7pm Peruvian time" and I got stuck. Since both EST and PET (Peruvian time) have 'UTC Offset: UTC -5' I don't know what's going on. Maybe they wanted to say “1 Match Wednesday 8pm ED(!)T, 7pm Peruvian time”, I dunno. So my question is what time do you mean when referring to EST? UTC -5 as it is =OR= UTC -4 as it is now in New York (EDT)? Thanks for reply!

Hopefully that helps.  If you still have problems feel free to add your regional admins.  Hopefully they can help shed some light on the time zones for you.

People just write "EST" even if it's actually EDT. We are in daylight savings time right now, so it's safe to assume that all "eastern" times are actually EDT.

Seems like people have more difficulty understanding time-zones than playing l4d.

totally agreed. It would be much easier to understand! Or using reference to the country name like {Thursday 4PM german / 10PM chinese}. The thing is that sometimes, due to the time zones, I need to wake up in the middle of the night to watch my favorite game. And I don't want to wake up at wrong time, that's it.
