Regarding my streaming coverage of the Hot Mess 2016 Tournament
« on: October 22, 2016, 09:50:12 pm »
WAR ROOMS
Starting next weekend, I'm going to be trying to start having war-rooms again. I will have to switch my use from the Hot Mess mumble over to my private mumble. I will try to get in contact with both teams prior to the matches and will need mumble IPs. Both teams must agree for there to be any war-rooms, if there is only one team agreeing I won't do it.

War rooms will only be doable for me if teams are in separate Mumbles. I upgraded to Win10 a while back and no matter how much fussing I did with Mumble I couldn't get the in-game overlay to work without crashing either Mumble or the game. So I'll have to have 3 separate instances of Mumble open and use binds to deafen/undeafen myself for war rooms.

SERVERS
If you play your game(s) on the following servers, I will not be covering your game(s) until the following issues are fixed, no exceptions:

- Fair Play
Unable to give myself caster.
Spectator tickrate too low, causing stuttering with camera movement when caster.
No ready-up for caster.

- Hot Mess Hyper-V
Spectator tickrate too low, causing stuttering with camera movement when caster.

TEAM D.A.D.D.Y. -Redacted The Following-
This is not the first, not even the second time that this issue has happened. I will no longer be covering Bravo's games, in any tournament, due to his insulting and inappropriate behavior towards me. Bravo has been given enough time over the years to change his behavior, but frankly, he is still the only player that will behave poorly towards other users (including myself) in a live tournament stream.

If anyone needs a list of streamers/casters to cover your games because I won't, here is a link to a list:

I am pretty sure sam said you would eat the gecko! Supra also talks shit to you everytime you're in his game.  Besides I didnt say anything to "any other user" Its fine though, I accept my fate.

Initially I wrote faith but fig corrected me, its fate not faith.  thanks fig.

It's also his first time doing it in a tournament livestream in front of viewers.

Supra also talks shit to you everytime you're in his game.
Perhaps I am being biased and secretly like the fedora boy 8) , but I don't remember Supra ever doing it in the middle of a match. He behaves well enough during the matches I cover for his team.

Besides I didnt say anything to "any other user" Its fine though, I accept my fate.
It's not hard to ask around and find how expressive you are during matches towards the other team when you have something against them. I personally wasn't there for it, but I could have sworn I remember hearing about how you were giving -NV a hard time in one of their matches when you played against them.

I dont recall anything from that long ago and its amazing you do.  I dont dobt it though, im sure your viewers will not think any less of you.  Also I dont have anything against anyone, and since I do it to almost everyone you should put away that vagina of yours, grow a dick and get over it.

There is another one somewhere, but I don't remember what tournament or map it was on and I'm not going to go through all my VODs just to further prove a point. You have a history of doing this stuff.

Also I dont have anything against anyone, and since I do it to almost everyone you should put away that vagina of yours, grow a dick and get over it.

The VOD above says otherwise, and frankly shouldn't you become less off an asshole and grow up instead of me, "growing a dick"? I think the wrong one of us needs to "man up" here because only one of us acts like an immature punk that goes out of their way to upset others.

I asked out of courtesy, not out of bad manners. Many people feel the pressure to continue playing despite having no more interest, and just drag it out while getting more upset. With how disorganized and purposely throwing your team was towards the end of map 4, I decided to ask because I didn't know if you guys wanted to continue playing or not but felt trapped to continue playing due to being streamed. Obviously, your team took offense to that but it wasn't my intention at all.

Xbye: I understand personal disagreements and community drama are the unfortunate (but often entertaining) bedrock of this community, that's just how it is, but I honestly have casted plenty of games involving people who I've had disagreements with. To be completely fair, whenever both of you post in a thread, it often turns into insult slinging and some needlessly long replies (see the posts above for proof of concept). Team D.A.D.D.Y. is heading for the elim bracket, their matches are going to be pretty important to the scope of the tournament. While the choice not to stream games - elimination games - for the tournament is your personal decision, Xbye, and it's not my place to tell you to change it 'cause it's your stream, I do believe some other solutions are available which don't involve you pulling your coverage. For example, if Bravo says something in all-chat you don't like, gag him. If he insults you in mumble, that might be classifiable as the oh-so-fun 'unsportsmanlike conduct' clause in the rules, and, if there's evidence of him doing so, his team could lose points. However, I would also not recommend arguing back in a similar fashion to the original comments (see above) because the results are often just sorta pointless and not a lot of value is gained, in the end. vOv

Bravo: kids who were born at the same time this game was released are going to be in second grade this year. Please stop trolling the people who are providing help for this community. Blah blah blah its dead it always has been, whatever, I still see you playin' matches. Personally, while I enjoy watching you and Xbye engaging in intelligent discussion on L4Dnation, keep whatever personal issues you've got with each other out of the livestreams he provides, or your team will face a penalty. Thanks!
I look forward to this post being taken down so that you can continue running a corrupt system for a game that has less teams then I can count with one hand.

As far as the personal insults from Bravo go, I obviously don't agree with him doing that and it shouldn't be something that happens for any reason during a tournament game. That being said, As a streamer your purpose isn't to be talking to the players, your purpose is to provide a stream - There is almost never any reason for you to be typing in the game. Asking a team if they are going to gg or not is at the very least bm and some people would view it as ignorant and insulting behaviour, I'm hardly surprised that Bravo got annoyed by it. Yes Bravo is a bit of an abrasive person, but you did put yourself out there by talking when there really was no reason to do so. If they want to gg then they will gg, Bravo and purple are not the type of people to play out a game due to the pressure of obligation that they feel from anyone, I think everyone knows that Bravo does what Bravo wants.

So, I would like to reiterate: I will not cover your games if you play on these caster crappy non-award winning servers.

I have gotten a response from Visor about the servers he manages.

I would like to shoutout to SirPlease, a responsible server manager, for taking the time to fix his servers to be more caster friendly. I would also like to award him with an actual award. I'm too lazy to photoshop a banana into it.
