Yes danne paid off some of us to argue for him on the forums. I didn't know the full list but I can confirm fig and myself. The video was blatant and I can't believe anyone thought it wasn't cheating for a second? But before I even knew about the accusations danne messaged me talking about making this deal. Honestly, I was between jobs at the time and really kind of needed the money. He was offering a LOOT of money for my help, more than most prize pools for this game ever are--which was really fucking weird. But I agreed because frankly not having to worry about where next month's rent comes from is really helpful. Danne had me help convince fig, who really didn't give much of a shit, but if we both agreed on bans and stuff it would be a lot simpler.

Really I'm surprised nobody figured it out. But I guess that just goes to show how smart Danne is by fooling all of us for years heh.

Sorry everyone but yeah. No FUD here. Only reason I keep L4DNation up is because I feel like I should pay that money back into the community. But I guess the jig is up and I'll take the site down now bye.

Left 4 Dead 3 Confirmed? Not quite, but it's possibly the next best thing for L4D fans.

The orginal creators of the Left 4 Dead series, Turtle Rock Studios, are have just announced a new zombie coop FPS game in cooperation with Warner Bros. Interactive, "Bad 4 Blood".

The title of the game is an obvious reference to the original series, and the press release doesn't shy away from comparing the the game to Left 4 Dead.

The press release also linked an Official FAQ about the game and this announcement, filled with a lot of light but important details. Notably, the game is going to be a brand new IP, unrelated to L4D, and the game WILL include PVP modes.

So, with little more than a name and a few promises, why the early announcement? The FAQ covers this, too:

So, there you have it. Could this be the spiritual successor Left 4 Dead needs? Just another zombie game? Or L4D HD Remake 2.5 final mix?

As a fan of both Left 4 Dead and Evolve, I'm hyped as hell, and I can't wait to see what the studio has in store.

Sorry about the long-ass downtime y'all.

The billing info I gave to our hosting provider expired and they shut down our account while I was out of town. I was able to get things reinstated last week by contacting them.

Then the system I normally use to admin the site went kaput (SSD is read-only :shrug:). So, perfect storm of not being able to take care of stuff easily. I got a new setup going for working on the site and it's now back up. Yay!

Now we've got about a month before L4D1's 10 year anniversary. Who is coming to the reunion?

I don't think there's any fireaxe hacks do you have other footage?

Mostly looked laggy to me after rewatching it a few times. Player makes some choices like shooting further away common that don't jive with aimbot.

Also, hard to tell with the lag, but the bullet usage doesn't seem very efficient.

I think this is not enough evidence.

I play without glows, just make it Realism.


There are still glows in realism for the infected.

Interesting idea. You could still allow customization even if they're server-side. I think survivor-health glows can be improved on in various ways; so if you can actually set glows from serverside it might be neat to try innovating there a bit.

It's been a while since I've looked at these, but iirc the Director will spawn pills and such on other entities based on RNG.

You may have to also remove "weapon_item_spawn" entities, or do you entity removal via script/plugin instead.
