Servers & Adminning / Server limit for throwables
« on: March 03, 2019, 12:16:13 am »
I've recently setup a l4d2 server with all the confogl stuff etc. I wanted to make the public game a little more balance by removing T2, kits, etc so by picking and choosing plugins etc I've been able to do most of them however I've run into trouble with removing throwables and kits outside safe room. So far I have (in server.cfg) while confoglcompmod.smx is loaded

confogl_addcvar confogl_enable_itemtracking              1
confogl_addcvar confogl_itemtracking_savespawns       1
confogl_addcvar confogl_itemtracking_mapspecific       3
confogl_addcvar confogl_molotov_limit                        1
confogl_addcvar confogl_replace_finalekits                   1
confogl_addcvar confogl_vomitjar_limit                        2
confogl_addcvar confogl_pipebomb_limit                      2
confogl_addcvar confogl_adrenaline_limit                     4
confogl_addcvar confogl_pills_limit                              6

I've also tried sm_cvar which didn't work either. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Try disable addons before joining?

I followed this guide in the past and it worked perfectly http://www.l4dnation.com/confogl-and-other-configs/how-to-install-promodconfogl-(linux-guide)/

With I quote "This guide will again be for Linux, as it's the main weapon of choice.
Plus, not everything is fixed up yet for Windows, so I'm afraid I will have to leave it out for now."

It's not entirely obvious, but the information is there

Servers & Adminning / Re: Best Linux Distro and 32-bit or 64-bit

I have experienced Debian 7 64 bit crashes as you mentioned. From these threads: http://www.l4dnation.com/confogl-and-other-configs/compiled-binary-of-left4downtown2-0-5-7/ http://www.l4dnation.com/confogl-and-other-configs/debian-server-crash/

It seems the issue is the latest L4DT 0.5.7? Perhaps ninja is using an older version of that. Switching to Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit has solved the random crashing issues for me.

Servers & Adminning / Debian server crash
« on: December 25, 2014, 10:25:30 am »
After attempts are running servers with Debian 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 with confogl etc installed, I noticed that with Debian, the server crashes randomly, a few times a day even while running vanilla versus. Been trying Ubuntu 12.04 and so far no crashes have occurred today as mentioned in this thread: http://www.l4dnation.com/confogl-and-other-configs/compiled-binary-of-left4downtown2-0-5-7/

I'm curious if anyone has their server running on Debian 7 and stable? if so, how?
