NF help me Dust and I broke the 1v1 config

I look forward to this post being taken down so that you can continue running a corrupt system for a game that has less teams then I can count with one hand.

Welcome to 2009

Left 4 Dead 2 - Pouncing Hunter Glitch

Yes! I'd seen that video before ... but does this mean you can purposefully avoid taking damage on a pounce in 1v1 if you get the hunter to do what Dust did to me?

Welcome to 2009

Left 4 Dead 2 - Pouncing Hunter Glitch

Is their a flaw in the internal game code?  How does the game understand if a hunter does damage to a survivor?  Is it a method(in terms of programming method)  that is executed? Or it a physics bug?

I lost a match on dead air one time because of this mechanic. I jumped off the ladder right by map 2 start saferoom to avoid a boom and got pounced on the way down. I flew right over the fence and died.

As far as I know, it's the same as pipebombs/commons/grenades rocketing players... Entity with momentum collides with another entity from below/above, and the momentum is transferred from one to the other.

In the hunter case, the momentum change makes the survivor move away from the hunter too fast, and the game apparently ends the pounce when that happens.

Is this the same bug that is caused by a smoker pulling a survivor in such a way that the survivor is over the smoker's head (like on an edge of building/water) and the hunter causes the survivor to fall off/into the water and die?

Was there hunter sliding in L4D1?  I can recall.  It almost seems similar, but in that case, the hunter's pounce path put the survivor in the water since you cant be ledge hung while being hunted, it slides to the water or off a cliff.

Yes, it is in L4D1. A part from NM finale (and map 4) there is also a spot on BH map 1, right before bridge (smoker can spawn behind a rock to the right of the the bridge and pull)... Those are the most common ones :)
