"I hate that you put in so much prize money because people will only play because of this. But now that I see all the money, I'll be joining as well, in fact with the best team I've ever been in."

lol xD

Great idea, awesome hypevid and everyone who supported this deserves a hug or kiss ( ;D ). I am sure it's gonna be great moment in L4D2 life.

Format: Six Rounds of Interntional Swiss (read rules)
More details about it, please! Will it be home-away or NA-based or maybe something else?

The distribution of the prizes will be:
1st Place - 75%
2nd Place - 25%
That's rough. No money for the third place. :( Hell, having so much money you probably can distribute some to even 4th place. But simultaneously it's really incredible ammount of money (for l4d2 tournament, of course) for strongest team and it's cool.

who the fuck cares if people are playing for the money or not? the money is there FOR people to actually have a reason to try and win. personally, I hope the money causes good competition.

The reason that the prize-pool is not distributed more, is because even as it stands, 1st place only gets $1,500.  Divided by 5 players (assuming the 1st place team has a 5th/gives their 5th any money, is only $300 per player.

As I stated in the post, the prize distribution is due to change as more donations come in.  If we hit $3,000, I will be opening up 3rd place prize money and that would push the two losers in the semi-finals to play out their game for prize money.  4th/5th probably wouldn't happen unless we get much higher in prize money.

And that is also good to hear, Kekkeri.  I hope that the other rumors I've been hearing from the EU players are true as well.  NA is forming some pretty good teams.  I smell a clash of the titans, coming.

Double elimination brackets always have a guaranteed 3rd and 4th placing.

Sign-ups begin in 24 hours.

Goodluck to all of those that enter.  A separate thread will be made for them in the BOT sub-forum.

No limit to the number of max teams.

Matches are based on a home/away system unless both teams are from the same region or decide to play only 1 game.

And thank you Ika o/

Also, I've been updating the prize money for those of you wondering how it's doing.  Check the 1st post for updates on it.

Just got another $105 from Twitch o/
