I highly doubt I'll be around once this tournament gets going. However, if I am. I am still willing to offer helping with casting/streaming matches.

why the change in allowing the wait command
I have a strong considered opinion that it should be enabled, but I wouldn't deign to try and coerce server admins to change that setting.

Note: in Round 1, the match between Asterisk and Apollyon was recorded as a Double Forfeit due to the failure of either team to report results as required in the rules:

Quote
Results must be submitted, with a screenshot, by the following Sunday at midnight. Failure to report weekly round results before the deadline will result in a double forfeit. Under no circumstances whatsoever will extensions be granted.

To report match results, make a new post in the forums thread where the pairings for the corresponding round were posted. Include a screenshot of the final scores. Results will not be accepted via email, Steam instant messenger, or the Steam Community.

Also, in the match between whatevaz and Russian Fury, Dusty was asked to provide demos from his match play. He was not able to produce demos from maps 1 and 2 because, as he said, he had forgotten to record. Therefore, those maps are overturned. whatevaz win the match with an adjusted score of 1567-1347.

Re: The Round 2 match between Asterisk and dat ho

(1) Asterisk used a ringer without affirmative authorization from the other team

Quote
5.5 Ringers

A defining characteristic of a championship team is the capacity to field a team for a match at the agreed upon date and time. Therefore, both teams must agree to allow ringers, or ringers will not be allowed.

Affirmative, explicit, written agreement is required from the opposing team before ringers are allowed. 'Tacit consent' by readying up with a ringer in the server is not agreement.

Therefore, the match between Asterisk and dat ho is overturned to a forfeit win for dat ho.

(2) Additionally, it has come to light that Asterisk had two players who were using smurf accounts.

Code: [Select]
Smurf SteamID            Smurf Name                Real SteamID            Real Name
STEAM_1:0:16881368       36                        STEAM_0:1:33701722      Jota
STEAM_1:1:92117634       ez game ez life           STEAM_0:0:29524907      mc`

To knowingly play with players who are registered on two separate teams in the tournament violates basic expectations of honesty and fairness, and undermines the legitimacy of the competition as a whole. It is, to put it bluntly, cheating.

Therefore, the players listed above are suspended from the tournament and banned from competition.

Their accounts will be struck off the registration list. They may not ring in any match, with any Steam account.

Finally, team Asterisk is disqualified. They will not be paired in Round 3.

I would like to discuss with you the possibility of further punishments against the other two complicit players. Peter Griefin and TreeSixty are equally guilty, if not more, as they organized and orchestrated the entire scheme. I'll be on tonight to discuss this.

Dangerous with 2 FFWs placed higher than Silent Swag and Singularity. At least we know this ranking is legit...

Rules Update

Added a new rule banning "spawn glitching" i.e. passing through an obstruction by spawning while inside it. This was implicitly illegal all along but it doesn't hurt to be explicit.
