Sky

What is Sky?

Sky is a competitive configuration for Left 4 Dead 2. Original L4D/L4D2 maps are modified in this config: variable weather conditions across maps(such as Hard Rain), modifications of vanilla events etc. Thus rendering the game more interesting and diverse.

2. Setup Stripper Source: Stripper 1.2.2 (http://www.bailopan.net/stripper/snapshots/1.2/)(if not installed)
3. Install Sky: Sky 2.7.1 (https://github.com/Attano/Sky/archive/master.zip)

Just wondering how greatly it changes chokes and the map (if that's what it does).

on hotels (dc1), there's rain? i imagine it would only work within the saferoom and at the end, in the lobby, if the windows at the top are broken. unless it's just raining outside..?

otherwise i love it, this adds a lot of flavor to the base game. excited to try it.

I remember playing this a long time ago, enjoyed it a lot. The scavenge idea on Dark Carnival 2 was awesome, almost wish that it was in promod :P

Also it felt like Michael Bay-ogl at times with the random plane crashes and explosions and slo-motion moments, but this wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

I think some or these changes could be standardized to add a new level of interest in map structure and dynamics.
Feels like dlr without the ridiculousness. Awesome job  :D

1. Double click E (use)

2. check plugin list (sm plugins list) l4d2_sky_customization.smx need to be loaded if not it can broke some events.
if l4d2_sky_customization.smx don't wanna load check u version l4d_boss_percent.smx it shoul be latest v.1.6.1 l4d_boss_percent.sp (https://github.com/Attano/Equilibrium/blob/master/addons/sourcemod/scripting/l4d_boss_percent.sp)

Jane, how did you make the destructible walls? I thought they were hard coded.

yes it's hard coded, i use prop breakable walls and walls with animation.

Sounds pretty neat.

Does it work in coop if everything is forced? Or perhaps a lite version for coop if not?

most of the custom events will be work on coop mode, but another can bugged so better create lite version for coop. Sorry for my bad English :-[

There is still no godframes right?...I don't see any info about it.

Only serious backdown config has for me is that weather decreases FPS - sometimes significantly. Also you can encounter rain and storm inside of Tunnel of love or this was fixed idk. :) Some events might be boring. Also rare game takes less than hour to finish and extra events only make it longer which is not always good I guess.

If u don't have fps drops on Hard Rain u will don't have problem with it on other maps. Godframes such as on promod 4.3.1. Storm inside of Tunnel of love? I do not remember that this was in prev. version  :o .
Yes mb some events boring idk. The average duration of custom events it 30-60 sec I do not consider that it will take a lot of time (exeption scavenge events). Thanks  :)

Removal of all Godframes was one of the greatest (if not greatest) feature of Sky config. Why you decided to add godframes back?... :/

Happy you did some work with your config despite being far from active member of L4D2 community though. :)

because we have a lot of changes on map, so it's more attack from infected and  it becomes hard for surv.

I notice when the tank drops from the copter on Carnival 4 that sometimes when you defeat the tank, the propane still isn't able to be destroyed near the barn entrance.

After playing it 4 or 5 times. I feel like this happens when that roof he drops onto doesn't get destroyed. It seems everytime the roof is destroyed, once you get rid of the tank, the propane wall is then destroyable, otherwise it doesn't seem to be. Then again, I could be wrong and its something else, I just have a good feeling that's the problem.

Sorry for bumping. I just found a bug in c5m1_waterfront. If you break the alarm door by melee, it will no alarm for you. I'm trying to fix but I don't know where the door code :P
