Scavogl?
« on: August 15, 2017, 06:59:17 pm »
What ever happened to Scavogl? I havent seen any games for a while. I dont see any games anymore in the server browser, and I used to when I would type 'confogl' but that would be a rare thing to see a scavogl match. Did the config die out or players just stopped playing on it? I kinda liked watching people play a scavenge version of confogl instead of your average versus confogl match. It was just something else to watch lol. I checked the last time someone posted something with the word "scavogl" in it and the last post was in December of 2015 (im late asf).
  • Also: In my opinion, it shouldve been called Scavfogl. I would literally search this up on Youtube and Google and nothing would come up until I removed the "F" LOL
  • Also: I dont know If there is one and if there is then great but is there like a confogl version of survival/Versus Survival? That would be cool to see. (Survfogl/Survogl) lol

Hello o/ i guess you're talkin about rooftop eu so about me and my friends! Well, long story short even versus is dying at this point, scav always had less players so the process was faster, anyway this is a fast recap to answer the question:

Average scavenge player is too bad/dumb to load Scavogl. They prefer pub or ru servers with 100 ping and the !chrome option for heroes that wanna try non dumb weapons. Few players (hoping that some random will join to full a game), bad organization and arguable skill= bad combo.

Scavogl community was very unfriendly towards newcomers, and decently unfriendly even toward themselves. Games were never that fun due to various reasons.

The 8-10 classic scavogl players are not playin l4d2 actively anymore. And in the last few years even one outsider would unbalance heavily our 4v4/3v3 rooftop games, so we always needed the full (inactive) playerbase connected for decent games, so a rare thing... the 3/4 times it happened in 2016 was actually very fun. There can be a 2v2 sometimes but that's it.
