CCT3 Finals Round 2
« on: November 16, 2014, 06:47:53 pm »
The second round of finals are to be played on Diescraper Redux. All matches must be played on Pro Mod 4.1.1. Teams will have until Sunday, November 23rd at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) to submit their results. If match results are not posted in THIS thread by that time, it will result in a double forfeit. Please schedule your matches and post the times at which they will be played in the thread below! This will not only allow for consistency, but will also allow for the casters and streamers to have an idea as to where they should be when! Remember to read the rules. Ignorance of the rules will not be a viable excuse for breaking them. You can add myself, or Rails if you have any questions or concerns!

Pairings:

It is important to note that the Diescraper author has released an update to the map. We are going to be using the updated version of the map for this round. I encourage people to download it and upload it to their servers. We will be releasing updated stripper files for the map sometime in the next couple days. The download link for the map can be found above.

When using a non-US server, please make sure you have an admin available to give /caster to the casters.

That isn't always possible when forced to play at 5am by terrible american teams.  :( It's also the responsibility of team captains to avoid being incredibly difficult and making disgusting match times. That being said, flow isn't around to ruin the fun for everyone now, so it shouldn't be a problem.

forced

*heavy breathing*

If you don't want to play at a certain match time, then please don't agree to play at said match time. Nobody forced anything if both teams agreed to play at a specific time.

terrible american teams.

I mean, you played against the number one seed in the tournament, so I think 'terrible' is a little bit of a stretch, especially on custom maps. I know L4D2 is a very skill based game (LOL), but let's get off our high horse a little here.

It's also the responsibility of team captains to avoid being incredibly difficult and making disgusting match times.

Yes it is. There are typically two of those in every discussion. If there was an issue with the scheduling because its only outrageous, then both admins would have reviewed the problem on appeal, but since you agreed to play at a god-forsaken hour, then you have no right to complain, especially not here.
I look forward to this post being taken down so that you can continue running a corrupt system for a game that has less teams then I can count with one hand.

Now now Cole, don't be like that. We both know Ffwevelation would have been awarded their goal, which was a ffw. There was no alternative but to play at a disgusting time, I think it's fairly ignorant of xbye to seemingly complain about the lack of admins at such a time. I wouldn't expect nor request them to be up at 5am just to grant caster rights. If however, He isn't reffering to that match,  then I sincerely apologise to you xbye, Sometimes it's difficult for the admins to be available in order to grand caster permissions. I'll definitely consider it when scheduling.

I love the shit talking going on about us lmao. Why would we want a ffw, whats the point of playing in a tournament if you're not going to play any matches? Think before you speak lol

Trust me, I know how you feel. We got a toxic time for our match (before it was rescheduled) @ 9 am est, which in my time (west coast/ hib / acer / bAD) is 6am.

Why would you want a ffw? Ask your team captain who was spamming admins all game long trying to get a ffw, after lying to me about your teams availability during the weekend. I don't have any problem with the players such as yourself, but the manager/spectator seems to be  a complete asshole.

I was given messages of condolence when matched with revelation due to the immense pain that scheudling with flow was going to cause me.

Lying about availability? Did you even fill out the schedule that flow made for the match? lmao. Lucky didnt even play with us the entire week, he got on like an hour or two before the match. Yes i told flow to leave shit alone so we could play but hey, cant control other people. But dont try to call out the entire team on it, keep it to the one person :)

Yeah, He gave me specific times then decided to change his mind when he realised that it might result in the scheduling of a match at a somewhat reasonable time. Then backtracked and contradicted himself several times. There was no point filling out the schedule, we weren't planning to dodge the match. Like I said, I have no problem with the real players from your team, you played a good game. Flow on the other hand, What a dribbling mess that guy is.

There is no denying that Revelation was hard to schedule all tournament long.  That's not a jab at them.. It's just the truth.

They didn't get that many ffws though did they? .. doesn't seem like it.
