3) The behavior of some of the international, non NA teams in this tournament thus far.

If you're referencing our team, I thought we handled that situation fairly well. We never made any derogatory remarks to the admins or the other team about the ruling and we took it all in our stride. Hell, we didn't even use the skip you okayed which would have put us from 20% to ~65% out of respect to the other team ;) Personally I think it's you that failed to handle the situation in a professional manner (and tbh after reading a few of the snide remarks you've since made on the forum concerning 'behaviour' in this tournament I think you need to step back and re-evaluate).

You seem to have a history of letting your emotions get the better of you and saying things without much pre-thought. I never thought I'd say this, but Jacob seems to be the admin who's handled himself the best so far this tournament.

Having said all that, I think your decision in this matter was the correct, objective decision, even if the other team can't see it that way.

Did I mention you anywhere in my OP? I elaborated on why I posted what I posted with specific reasons, if I didn't mention you I didn't mean you.

Someone seems a little defensive? :D

I look forward to this post being taken down so that you can continue running a corrupt system for a game that has less teams then I can count with one hand.

Agreed this whole thread is just silly. If betime thinks they could have beaten apollyon with better pings (which considering how the first game went i think they had a chance) then why didn't they just play the second match where they would have had better pings? Just makes no sense to me.

It's because innox and Anussir have lack of logic or understanding(especially Anussir). From my understanding the only thing Anussir and innox are trying to accomplish is for us to feel sorry for them. You can explain the situation multiple times, but in Anussir's mind, he will always be right. This type of mindset is toxic to our community.

Yes, it is very unfortunate what happened. Guess what, this is life. Shit happens. This is the same way I felt with the WatchL4D tournament where team Serious Business used an illegal sub (was registered on another team but allowed to play on this team), and clearly made a huge effect on the turn out. Dusty carried the fuck out of team Serious Business lol. Anyways, the custom map we played had an update, with added props that my team was unaware of since it was updated recently. I died in a dumb spot, my screen showed i dropped on the bottom on the rail, yet I still got "death pulled" but whatever, happend, we continued playing and lost due to little mistakes we did as survivor.

Futhermore, oh well shit happens, play the game, try to win, if you don't, oh well, try again next time.

Just my 2 cents. I couldn't even talk to u estoopi cause u either didnt accept my invite or u blocked me. Ive got nothing more to say. Na people just hate the eu people overall not just the admins. In all the american based cup people disputed every goddamn shit just to get the defwin. But thats just my opinion

I don't recall the members of my team asking for a defwin. You forfeited yourself, the reasonable option was to play the EU game and then at the end when scores were calculated, replay the rounds that had glitches/crashes/etc. just like how I told the Australians to just play out instead then figure it out later.

If you were confident enough that your team can win with green ping in your home server, the next match should have been played. Your lack of confidence of your team, anussir's lack of time and frustration caused you guys to make that decision.

P.s. I look forward to play you guys in the top 8 brackets. Good luck.

Server crashes beyond the control of both parties, one team decides to throw a hissy fit and refuses to play their second match. Said team then proceeds to continue their whining on the forums to make sure everyone knows just how salty they are over the outcome they chose. Then the team in question accuses americans of picking on them for being salty on the forums, when an overwhelming majority of peoples opinions had nothing to do with eu > na or na > eu and simply their opinions on the ruling and the admins integrity.

That the long and short of it? Here's the thing, don't expect to be treated like an adult when you act like a child, it's unreasonable and succeeds in making your point about hating (most) euros true.

I'm going to make a promise to the L4Dnation community, when I become a billionaire I will pay for all the top teams to fly to my private island and we'll have a big LAN tournament, afterwards we will drink sambuca and talk about how hard life is.

P.S
someone get a Hawaii server!

High Cookie for president!

remove all bias and read rails post with detailed examples of the international matches so far. dena can u name even a single Euro event where american teams received the opportunity to play once on their server? didn't think so. from what i can tell the euro scene isn't much at this point and the fact that NA teams / admins are catering to you guys this much is more than enough.

hib's suggestion of playing one match on NY sounds familiar to what we suggested in our match. team * was laughable trying to pick both servers when everyone had the same ping on the Ny server (2 west coast players one from venezeula) yet they still insisted on two matches and lost both of them. in ur case though, players from california would ping about the same to NY that euros would, i've seen it when u guys played bravo sam and asian (ca players) in the weekend cups.

you guys played very well and i still dont understand why you opted not to play the second match with a minimal deficit going into your ping advantage.

wasnt meant for that specific game Hib. Just overall in the cups we played.

And yeah also I wanted to apologize to rails.  I pretty much just raged at him cause I was frustrated.  Im overall a emotional guy who tends to rage aswell. But hey. Not everyone is an Angel right?

I'd honestly would like to see Dragons response to this matter. As the EQ admin that hosted international play, maybe he can provide suggestions or words of advice from previous experiences.
