Pro Mod 3.4 Discussion

What do you think should go into pro mod 3.4?
Do you know any bugs that need to be fixed?
Post them here!

I'd also like to take a second to announce that Stabs is back on board with me. There was a bit of lack of communication between us for 3.3, but that has changed. He will be a part of every decision going onward.


Planned Changes:
Fix throwables spawning in some places.
Add tank rock selector plugin.
Block the new material exploit.
Update all side configs.
Increase pill limit by 1.
Add common crouch glitch fix.
Update boss percentage plugin to accommodate to custom campaigns, and overall be easier to use. (canadaroxs version)
Add epi's new plugin which allows custom connection messages. "Jacob (Admin) has connected."
Make damage bonus the primary scoring system. Parity will now be the health bonus equivalent of pro mod.
Make shotgun spread static. (We are testing it.)
Remove the secret room from dark carnival 4 that could spawn up to 4 pills in unobtainable places.
Change the way plugins load to be more user (server owner) friendly. (You can now have a "shitiwantloaded.cfg" with extra plugins that will load globally)
Update finales to not be wipefests.
Add friendly fire fix.

Suggested Changes:
Go back to dota.
Update mvp plugin.
Make security plugins standard.
Add "anti-bait" measure. (omg not throwback changes!)
Tanks lose rage while survivors are in saferoom.

Add tank rock selector plugin.
Now everyone will know the true power that is 1-Handed rock spam! Can we customize our M2 to specific rocks, or we just have to settle with trying to jump-rock with E+Spacebar?

Please for the love of jeebus don't let this have crayola coloring like most of his custom plugins do! I've been noticing that leave messages aren't displaying "reasons" anymore. Maybe I'm just getting unlucky on what servers I'm using.

I'm all for this! Although I take it we're going to need a custom addon to fix the tracers similarly to Throwback HR?

I thought there was an already user-friendly .cfg that globally loaded extra plugins, well I guess we have two now?

Would it be possible if we start looking into security for confogl servers? IE. Making the "Anti-DOS" metamod plugin a default install with the promod package. If they want they can remove it themselves, by default that simple plugin should be in. Also a new server crash (Not DOS) has been going around that I believe is fixed with some SMAC plugin? One that blocks commands and such. I believe Epi (Or Sir?) has their hands on it. Glad to see the mat-exploit was fixed.

EDIT: Can we introduce (By default) the fork-MVP plugin that displays multiple print-outs in console at the end, rather than just one graph? I also see no reason to not introduce the "Flying-Ghost" plugin by CanadaRox.

Yes, the server crash exploit has been long fixed by smac. I will look into adding some security plugins.
To better explain the new plugin loading. There will be a folder with a few cfgs.
coreplugins.cfg
1v1s.cfg
etc.
This way updating 10 or more configs only requires editing 1 file. It's easier on us, and on people who want to customize their server.

Edit:
I was wrong, epi made a fix for the exploit. I will look into including it.

I'm looking forward to playing with this. It actually makes a lot of sense, people just need to accept that it's not quite the same as what they're accustomed to.

You should be using CanadaRox's re-written boss % plugin. I gave it to you alongside the instructions. Works better than raechers, isn't broken. If you need the plugins and cvars to get setup just PM me.

I'd like to see Canada's ghost fly plugin included. Also would like to see ratemonitor included by default (requires l4dutil).

You should be using CanadaRox's re-written boss % plugin. I gave it to you alongside the instructions. Works better than raechers, isn't broken. If you need the plugins and cvars to get setup just PM me.

Update:
We will be changing finales to be much more survivable. Some people who did testing with me the last month may know what it is. For the rest, it will be a surprise!

Just make a tank.cfg and normal.cfg and do the following:

In autoexec.cfg:
